I hope this is okay...it's not a panel...but I did use only scrap glass and a few glass globs.  These are scraps that I had left over from doing a bunch of hummingbirds.  Lot of bright, cheery colors.  I did grind, but that was only to get rid of all the sharp edges...other than that, it's how the glass looked when I pulled it out of the bucket.  It measures 8 1/2" tall and 4" square....oh...I did actually cut a mirror bottom for it, but it needed something to hold the candle.  Anyway...I really like it!   dancing  It looks so much better in person.  And I couldn't get a good pic of it with a candle in it, but all the colors looked really neat on the wall.

I started out totally abstract fitting together whatever took least grinding. Half way through it spoke to me and said, I'm a bird", so I continued to follow him where ever he led. Therefore, the name of this scrap piece is "I'm A Bird". I call him "Scrappy" for short. (what else) The eye was a scrap my husband had practiced drilling holes in glass with last week and I returned it to the scrap pile. I used it before I had any idea what the piece would become. I didn't have good light to capture the true vivid colors. Maybe I'll redo it in the sun.

Ok, so after seeing some of the beautiful scrap glass projects that have been posted out here I'm almost embarrassed to add my project.  Remember I've not got an abstract bone in my body.  If this isn't indicative of that I don't know what would be.

But anyway, no body every died of embarrassment..or have they.  So here is Mr. S'crappy for lack of a better name.

Awwh come on..you guys are just being nice...and I love you for it!  My friend on Monday night thought he needed the big bow tie!  She likes him too. LOL  But then I've known her for 30 odd years.

That is WONDERFUL. You don't have to be "abstract" to throw pieces of scap glass together and have them come out great. I am proof of that, and so are you.
