I'm for it. I'm making one in any event. I've already pulled some scraps out for it. I'm glad you said grinding is allowed, though, as I have some rough edges that would need to be ground to foil. I may be adding some globs or wire though.

Sure...I don't see why not Joan...it can be going on at the same time as the sparkling star so people have an option to do one or the other...does this mean yours will be the first completed??
I'll probably split this thread and or start something in the other category for this one.....

What are the rules? Is it just scrap glass, or can we use globs, or even wire or other odd objects? I assume we can use the grinder?

Scrap glass, globs, wire, anything you want, be as creative as you can be. Try to only grind to smooth sharp edges rather than completely cutting new pieces and grinding since the object is "crazy scrap panels".

As always, no time limit or size limit. It will probably take some time to sort through our scraps lol.

Can't wait to see everyone creations!!

Well this one I might be able to get in on.  If I can get the glass room cleaned up and arranged it shouldnt be hard to do, and even with my little experience, I wont worry about how it turns out.  After all the operative word is how I will name it:

(sorry about this)                    s"crap".

What's there to be sorry about? It is a rather fitting (pun intended) name

I had already let Toni do the design for this before the rule was no cutting but here it is anyway -- this is going to be one of a series of scrap stepping stones that will go around the pool...

Toni will be really proud of that design LA, and I bet she had ton of fun too.  It is wonderful, that you both can share the glassing experience

Maybe for her... for me it's pure stress!!!

thanks everyone, I'm going to do between 4 and 6 of them depending on how it all lays out, I want them to go from the deck to the filter so that way if we get out for something we won't get junk back in the pool...

You two did do a good job picking out the pieces shapewise and color wise!  I just know that you and Toni are going to have alot of fun doing these together, and it's a great idea to keep the grass off the feet by the pool, they're going to be very attractive!
