Yes changing the placement does sure change the look, it is almost like a kaleidoscope design.

It would take me longer than that to decide what glass to use!!!

So Audrey....looks like you've got the next star idea then....and time to play around with it

No Way Idea - as far as someone designing one- but that is as far as it goes. I have never done anything but modify a pattern. I am not that creative and no one would want the weird cuts I would wind up with if I tried. I hope one day to be able to come up with my own designs.

Hey....just find a free pattern, you don't need to make one up yourself. If it's free then we can all access it and make one too. Or maybe one of our resident glass eye experts will help you design one lol?

I'm for the first one, the darker framing reminds me of Cathedral window quilting, a favorite of mine.

Is the sparkling star a copyrighted pattern or is it available to download?

very pretty Meaco!! These stars have such a nice 'flow to them'.

Joan the quilt layout is nice - too much work for me to do tho - one of those ones where you'd never to be able to charge enough to cover the cost of making it, and I don't make anything anymore if I don't think I can sell it. Too mercenary for you?

Love the panel one, JF!!

I finished mine last night.  I did buy the bevels for this one...over a year ago, surprised I found them!  Anyway...since I had them it was real quick to make.  It's hard to see but the clear glass is glue chip and I used teal baroque.

Dang Meaco....I can't believe you have it done already?? I haven't even cut out the pattern yet....It looks very nice by the way, I was thinking of doing something / maybe this in all gluechip, we'll see.

Meaco,

Very nice!! Never would have thought to use baroque -- I have a bunch of small pieces of it that I had no idea what to use it for so maybe one of these stars is in my future -- a lot easier than the other one I'm sure!!

I remember they were expensive, but I bought them when I saw the pattern in the store that day, so might as well use them.  I've had this pattern and bevels for over a year.  I think it looks really nice without the bevels, too.  I'm doing that if I make this again...that's for sure! :)
