Maybe we can keep the "I have an idea" theme within the star family?? So I did the interlocking one, now Anne has done this and after we make it a million times or while we're all making it a million times someone else can find anothr cool star for us to do?? Hummmmm.....are we on to something here? IDK??

PS I just printed it.....

How about "Design a cool star" Something original would be cool.

My interlocking is about 13 1/2". I kept it the way it printed out.

finally finished it.  Did get another piece of irrid satin.  Had cut a piece of rr but decided it wasn't what I wanted so had to wait for the new piece of glass.. Pic taken by the guy who knows what he's doing, my what a difference, he always manages to get the colors right. lol.

Anne, I love this one too.  Love the texture of it.  How long did this one take you to put together, after you got the glass?

from drawing the pattern on the glass to finished 158 minutes.  How's that for exact, lol. I keep track of everything I do the first time I make it so if I'm going to make more I've already got it costed out!

Thanks everyone for your kind words! This was a fun one to do too!

Yay Audrey, looking forward to the next one!

here I thought I was anal and precise about keeping track of everything I make  Thumbs Up 4 (I weigh all my glass and measure all my foil and chain and keep track of anything else except chemicals I use per project)

I had to give up on the time because I got too depressed about how little time I'm actually getting to do glass these days...

It's really neat, your choice of glass makes it look 3d. But.....158 minutes?..... Takes me that long to make coffee and ponder on negotiating the basement stairs.
Though the thought of some iridized red, green and gold down there does lend a little incentive to think on a Christmas window star.

It would take me longer than that to decide what glass to use!!!

No Way Idea - as far as someone designing one- but that is as far as it goes. I have never done anything but modify a pattern. I am not that creative and no one would want the weird cuts I would wind up with if I tried. I hope one day to be able to come up with my own designs.

Turned out beautiful!!! Love the colors you used.  36_1_75

I would be willing to make this star, as well.  I think I actually bought the bevels that go with this one, too.  Just have to find them.  So...count me in on this one!! :)

Anne, I was playing with your sparkling star for color combos.   It is amazing to see just how much it changes just be reversing the placement of the colors.  Here is the yellow and clear combo.  I also did it in blue the same  way, not sure which I will end up doing (hopefully very shortly) LOL
