Doing the Interlocking star got me browsing through the link. This is on my cutting table now.  Of course I blew it up - no point in doing all those small pieces when it takes about the same amount of time to make it bigger right?  So, having done that I can't find bevels big enough unless I go have some made, so here I am substituting again.  Oh well, substitution is my middle name!

Anne, are you done yet? I'm home from work and just read the thread and geez.....didn't realize I was still going to have to wait to see the finished piece?? Well I'm gonna take a nap and maybe later you'll have the finished piece posted??

PS. I think this will be really pretty too.

humm........It was here, wonder where it went??????????

Seriously though, it is cut out and was a breeze to cut which means it'll grind and foil quickly too.  If anyone is needing a pattern that makes up quickly I think this is a good choice.

I don't remember ever seeing that pattern. I love that, too. We'll all be doing stars before long.

Ok, how stupid am I.........I should know better after all these years of glassing to say something like that out loud!!! It did grind really fast and if I hadn't dropped one of the little bevel replacement pieces on the big one and break off about 2 inches of the point I'd be just rolling along.  So, my replacement bevel pieces were in irrid satin. Of course I don't have enough left to cut a replacement piece......duh.  So, two choices - I can pick up another piece of irrid satin next week at the suppliers or I can do the big star centre in irrid RR.  What do you think?

Sounds like something that would happen to me. I would try the Irrid RR in the center and if you dont like it wait to get the replacement. Being in the center it may look ok.

I agree with Diane. Definately something that would happen to me. I really feel for you, but I know that doesn't help.

Oh yes, the glass choices are great!  Love the colors and textures you used.  Very classy star if I may say so!

Anne,

I absolutely love that... I've had that pattern forever and haven't made it because I thought it would be too much work with all the open spaces... I absolutely love your interpretation of it...

I love the outside shape on that, and the colors are perfect.   I would love to do that one, too.
Just finished foiling my interlocking 5 minutes ago. Hopefully can finish up tomorrow, then finish up my main project.
