This is an 11x11" piece I currently have in progress. It started out as an abstract design but when fused, it did not have the look I was looking for, so as usual, I am going about transforming it. First I cold worked edges as in the 2nd pic, then I added the painted details which are firing now. Depending on how that black paint turns out, I am considering adding some colored enamel to the white background to create a colored sky...maybe  a sunset.

Thanks guys.

I can't say I'm that taken with it myself. The trees I love, the rest, not so much. I'm not sure if I will pursue this any further or not, but here it is after firing the black paint.

Kev you are so hard on yourself. I love it, trees look great and your idea of a sunset would be great. IMHO

I've decided not to pursue this piece any further. It's a flop in relation to my initial vision (did I really have one?)..LMAO.

well Kev, you might not like it but that doesn't mean someone wouldn't snap it up.  Only you know what the end result was mean to be.  Boy, talk about being our own worst critics............

LOL ..that's me.

I've sandblasted off all the paint and I'm going to add colored frit to the design elements to see what I can come up with. I loved the simplicity of the design by itself without adding all the other stuff. I wanted it to be simple.

I think the simple design first created was nice and finished.
I think, also, the painting of the trees with the sun are nice by themselves but not mixed with an abstract component.   When I look at the combined methods, it appears the abstract arches have hair growing on them.  I know that is not the intent.

Ditto!!!!!   Shees, Kev,  you like to give yourself work!   I hate 'repairs' - I'd rather have taken a chance and put the disappointment out for sale and started again with my 'masterpiece'!!!!

I have to say that I agree with you, Kev.  I loved your original design and vision....the aftermath, not so much.  Sometimes we just have to keep looking til another vision comes along!

I loved the original design, but I did not piece it together well enough to use it in it's original form. I was hoping once it fused that the seams would all melt together..NOT!
