I am only doing small things lately. I could not face the thought of throwing away my 80's earring collection.. here it part of it with some other stones.

Oh gosh..I have a whole box of stuff very similar! Maybe our great grandkids will take it to Antiques Roadshow...

Deb, Thats is a great idea. I have my Mom's jewelry collection and she must have had (I'm not kidding) about 1,000 pairs of earrings and tons on necklaces, pins and rings. All us girls in the family picked out some favs, but this would be cool to make a funky wall art as mementos.

Now that's a wonderful way to save your 80's earrings!  Very cute!  I love recycling items too!  Love the peace sign earrings!!

Yes the peace earrings were worn a lot. I had to laugh when I saw a pic of my daughter on face book, in a peace sign shirt. I should have saved my old clothes. Good idea about doing Mom's jewelry in a mosaic. I have jewelry boxes full of Mom's, that I haven't even looked at yet... alot of old costume jewelry.

Another idea is to use them in abstract panels or as the centers for small suncatchers...
