Boy what a summer! One dead line after another. The American Glass Guild conference went great! When we were not learning we were laughing. What a great group of people! I'll post photos some where when I get time.
Now I need to work on my church windows again before the sun disappears for the winter. That is harder to see the colors and matt paint.
Next deadline is to go to the painting class in New Hampshire. After much consideration I have decided I can not make the side trip and extend my stay. $$$$$$ Why does fun have to be so expensive. BUTTTTTT, I have talked to Barbara a few weeks ago and we came up with an alternative possibility. It includes less glass viewing and more sociallizing.
While I am at class I stay at a B&B. I think he has 8 rooms. If some of you happened to be taking a vacation there too, we could sit up all night talking, swim in Greg Lake, or fish, go out to eat at different little towns each night, and the owner has been practicing his ukulele. Pm me if you are interested and I will give you the where and whens. Last year we had a great time each night after class.

Oh, how I'd love to be able to meet with everybody. I'm assuming you mean to meet up in NH? That would be very close for me. I do have something that has come up here at home, but could possibly get away for an evening. Let me know what the plans are and I'll try to get there!

We met up with Judy in New Hampshire on the 15th and 16th of August. De also took the trip from Maine and we all had a great dinner at Dick Millards studio. A brilliant amount of artistic work at the studio all in the windows to enjoy. Talking about glass and restoration was very interesting for such a novice as I am. Tom enjoyed the discussions also. Judy is a sweetheart and it seems like I had a 5th sister that I just met. A lot of fun and talking about glass and anything else that came to mind. Would have been better if more had come and will look forward to meeting up with others also. I only took pictures of the old church that was down the street from the Uplands Inn where we stayed and if I can remember how to list my Kodak Gallery I will post them. I will see if this works http://www.kodakgallery.com/gallery/sharing/shareRedirectSwitchBoard.jsp?token=891443789803%3A1264035656&sourceId=533754321803&cm_mmc=eMail-_-Share-_-Photos-_-Shareredited to hopefully come up with the correct pics

I think all the pictures are from Trinity and I dont think the one from NH are visible. I remember all these from the last trip. Am I wrong? It ends with the pictures of the trees....without leaves.

I could not find the New Hampshire pictures either. But here are a few of mine. Some are from last year but nothing has changed.
I was so delighted and honored to have Barbara, her husband, and De come visit me while I was there. Last year Rebecca and I also got to visit with Linde. Maybe we can all gather again some place in the future.
Vic, the Inn keeper, was tickled that people would gather at his house and asked about all of you several times. He especially liked the train stories.
Here are photos of the Uplands Inn, Antrim , New Hampshire. And the 100 year old barn that was built post and beam with wood pegs. Very cool. Vic has a large Lyonel train set up in there.
And the yard we spent day and night visiting in

One of the highlights is to walk on the dirt roads under the big trees. This photo is from last year with Rebecca walking the dog in it.
At the top of one of the old roads is the cemetery. It is well kept up and very interesting to visit.

Here is the Antrim School at Millard Studios and Dick Millard my fearless leader. He paints and you copy his work. It is a very old and trusted way to teach art. I highly recommend anyone take painting 1 from him if you are interested in Traditional Glass painting. He holds it in August each year.

I am so blessed to have met so many of you now. But it is begining to kind of hurt to live so far away. I am hoping to go to Ashville AGG next July, but after that I don't know that I can keep spending the money like I have been to travel East. I guess we will just have to keep meeting here. Thank God for technology! Oh yeah, there is a great little lake to go swimming in after class.
