This piece cries out for lead.
Too late - already fitted for foil and foiled - will be doing first soldering tomorrow of the center portion - then cutting and fitting the outer portions - will be in 3/8" zinc came for the frame - eventually going to be placed in a wooden frame hiding most of the zinc.

There are only 16 shapes each with 3 pieces totaling 48 pieces, so my numbering system was 011,012,013,021,022,023...151,152,153,161,162,163 - just to make sure each set matched the surrounding sets.

I was just going to say wow do you count funny, either that or alot of pieces are missing from this pictures lol.

My son and I added a few lines to confuse the eye. Are the blocks coming, or going. Done with two different clear textures.
I also am leaning towards the first one that Judy and her son came up with - but instead different clears - what about this?

WOW, that's very Escher-esque!  I love how you brought the colored glass into the background.  It really plays tricks with your mind. It's fantastic!

Well, I was soldering up the center portion when my neighbors came by to see what I was doing - so I showed them the idea and they like the original idea I had - but with solid semi-opaque background that has a hint of pink in it for their daughters wedding present - so now off to get the glass for the background....ah the plans of mice and men......

Just to keep the original design in the forefront.... will post actual picture when done.

Pretty Cool that the neighbors want it for a gift -- will it turn into a money maker for you or a gift to a friend?

I honestly do not know - guessing all the colors are Spectrum since they all seem to be waterglass
