Thanks for all the ideas - For the background glass, I am leaning towards the same glass that I used in this shamrock

I have NO idea as to who made it, what it is called or anything.
As to the 'square corners' one solution I was thinking of is like the picture below.

That looks good Alan. The straight lines makes it look very geometric. The hammered glass would look great with that.

My son and I added a few lines to confuse the eye. Are the blocks coming, or going. Done with two different clear textures.

We're on similar pages Judy, I thought outside the frame and played with vertical lines but only at the top, leaving the bottom open without frame. Was also the reason for thinking of Drawn Antique as the design asks to 'float' in an Escher like way and clear, or the light lines of Artique allows that illusion. The hammered is too heavy for my taste.
Chord might look good.

I like the rendition of the top one Judy.  Cool..it adds more of the 'which sections are most prominent"..for lack of a better way to describe it.

I'm with Glassic on the Chord..it strikes me also.

I also am leaning towards the first one that Judy and her son came up with - but instead different clears - what about this?

Cool Alan. I like the one you have pictured above...it ties it all in together instead of standing alone.

Looks great.  I liked the second design best but they both look great.  This piece cries out for lead.
