Love the platter, she will love it.  The other speaks for itself. As Judy said use the pieces for stars or accents!!

I had not blasted the design deeply into the Adventurine so when the etching lost it's frosted look, the design disappeared. It is still there, but very hard to see. It's not worth spending anymore time on..it's crap. Did I mention I hate that glass?..lmao

I slumped at 1225 and as you can see the frosting is gone. The indentation of the leaves is still there but the lighter appearance is gone.

Let me know if I'm seeing your tray right, but even though the blasted area is gone, it still has a raised impression left over from those leaves? From where I sit, I like that effect alot. It looks like embossing.

The Adventure thing speaks for itself...LOL     That is some ugly glass. It looks like a piece of cheap hard plastic.

How about turning it into frit? You could use it as a component for another piece.

If I use a large piece of Aventerine, I usually put a clear cap on to to give it some depth.

Lol...but you don't care for that glass, so Judy's idea of small bits or frit could be another alternative.

Actually it is more of an impression left, than a raised area in this piece. Your right..I hate the adventurine and will probably not use it in anything in the future..but you never know. I don't even want to use it as frit...lol.

Love the tray Kev..another idea might be to hand etch those leaves?  Dunno, just a thought I had because I've been playing around with it.

I can see why you aren't thrilled with the adventurine..that's too bad..maybe that glass is just best off being used in small amounts in with something else?
