Got the sand blasting unit I ordered.  Am going thru the packing list and watching the instructional videos today and tomorrow.  Then need to clean a spot in the garage to see if I can fit it in there.

Still have to get the air compressor, blasting cabinet, dust collector, respirator mask, etc...

Am happy with what I see so far, except a couple of the videos may need to be sent back and replaced.  They seem to freeze up and it makes them difficult to watch.

Kev,,,the other day you mentioned a link for a dust collector set up using a shop vac... could you pm me that link when you get a chance please?  Thanks...

I don't know whether I'm too thrilled with the "Dust Deputy". I'm not sure what exactly you expect this dust collector to accomplish, but you're not dealing with dust-bunnies under the sofa here. This is serious dangerous silicate type dust, that requires serious filtering.

This is meant as an adjunct to your filtration system. It is supposed to "swirl out" 90% of the dust before it gets to your filtration system, thereby increasing the life of the filter and filter bag in the filtration system. I use aluminum oxide so there is no silicosis danger.
