I thought you were smart enough to protect yourself against glass dust, Kev.  But I wanted to be sure and warn anyone who might happen through here and not know.  

I have one of those sets of cheap diamond coated bits.  There are different shapes in it.  I use one of the barrel-shaped or cone-shaped ones for a softer etch and the ball or skinny-pointy ones for lines.  You can do a bit of shading using the flat side of the barrel or cone.  I do evergreen (Christmas) trees and grapes on bottles, usually after flattening in the kiln.  Now I've told you all of my secrets!
