I am interested in buying a Diamond Max 2 In 1 Grinder.  If you have used this grinder would you recommend it?   Its on sale at Delphi.

I don't know, I'm Glastar thro and thro. I haven't hear anything bad on it and Delphi is a reputable dealer, if it meets your criteria, go for it.
One thing I do when considering a purchase is to look at the costs of replacement parts and how often I might need to purchase them. Like one of my printers... grrrr costs twice what the other does in ink!

I have a Diamond Max and I use the flat disc alot when I'm working with straight pieces of glass for foiled work. It gives a nice true flat edge. The other thing that's good about them, if I remember right,  is that they have a one year longer warranty than the other brands. The one drawback is that the lower water reservoir doesn't lift off to clean it. In that case all I do is to use an old putty knife to scrap up the glass powder, wipe the blade into some newspaper and dispose it into the garbage...not down the kitchen drain.
I used to take the whole grinder to the sink but that's not really necessary if you simply lift off the upper tray to clean out the upper chamber. I let water run into the lower disc chamber and run out the small spout at the bottom, but care is needed not to get any water into the motor.

Dan and I each have one for 8 years and wouldn't be without that disc feature. During the warranty (6 years I think) we've had to replace the motor twice, which Diamond Max has replaced, free of charge, with no hassles and with no shipping and handling fees.

I've had a really good experience with them:) The only part I had to replace out of pocket after the warranty expired was the grid top and that was about $15.00 I think. Some grinders have a reversable grid top. Ours doesn't. Maybe that's changed by now tho.
