Um....
Let me revise my previous statements.
It was a horrible deal. I really didn't get anything at all. In fact, I got less than nothing. I had to give away all of my glass. And it is gone now.
Nothing to see here. Move along people.
<looks over her shoulder to see if there are people with shopping carts stalking her>

ROFLMAO @ you guys! Hey Lynn I'll be right there..I'm sure with my son's custom creation I can take alot of that glass off your hands! Always did enjoy a ride! LOL.
You go girl! I'm so happy for you! The Ring Saw was an awesome steal! No wonder your beside yourself I would be too!
And yes, when I tell my peeps about some awesome glass issue..I get patronized big time. Know what your talking about!
Hugs, De

As promised, here are a few photos of the haul: First-the free bevels: After review, many of them are large-ish ones. I suppose it makes sense, they are what you would use in a door panel, and this place was a door company. I am not quite sure what I will do with them, other than dust them off and put them in 'inventory.' The small box you see in the first photo is filled with sample sized pieces (about 4in X 4in) of really heavy glass that looks like it is mostly for things like shower doors or room dividers. Some of the glass: I had already put it all away, so it is tough to see it all. But there are some big sheets of clear baroque, English Muffle, a bit of glue chip, and a good-sized piece of really thick glass with a bamboo pattern. The guy said that they ended up having to send out and have it cut with a water cutter, so the only way for me to use it will probably be as a central piece in a large panel. Or just to keep around because it is pretty. In addition, there is a piece of brown swirly glass there-it came from the same guy (and he didn't charge me for it). All of the clear glass you can see (plus more) came from this. And the real reason I went there: Here is my new toy/tool. I rather like the 'safety glasses dummy' note on the cover. I will just leave it there, as it applies to me too. I am hoping to get in the room this weekend and get something made up. I am still just giddy about the whole thing.

Well it looks like you made a haul for sure. Many of the bevels are amazing. I am sure you will have a ball planning for uses for them. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Good haul Lynn. That's the same saw I have, minus the dummy sign. I will give you a hint though that works like a charm. Get a clear plastic square like that used for shields, and a spring hand clamp. Position the plastic shield over the handle and clamp it in place. Adjust it to allow for advisability when cutting while stopping all the little flying chips of glass. When I get out in the shop again I'll take a pic and pot it so you can see what I mean.

NICE!
I'm with Kev on the face shield. I have the same saw and when I used it with ONLY safety glasses, it managed to throw glass pretty close to my eyes and IN my nose. I have a full face shield that I wear when I'm doing dangerous stuff, so I pulled it out and put it on before I went any further.

If it gets too scary, I can always bring one of my helmets into the house. ATGATT (All the Gear, All the Time): who knew it worked for glasswork as well as motorcycling.

Oops-I forgot to mention that he threw in one of those plastic post-office crates full of bevels...for FREE (right price, indeed).
Lynn, perfect for angel bodies....and oh yes....that's a super deal you got!
