The bird house was cheep from a box store. I made 4 grooves with a file and wraped them with wire to strengthen the little house. Then drilled a hole from top to bottom for the big bolt my hubby welded together for me to put down the middle. This little house will not fall apart.

From the bottom will hang 10 glass chimes with my sisters family names on them.

Marsha, do you recognise any of the glass? The beautiful peaches are yours, thanks again. I just need to grout it now.

I used a twisted piece of glass from my lampworking class years ago as the perch.

I have white , almond , and grey grout. What do you think?

Any clues how to easily do the grout with all these tiny spaces and corners?

I really like the variety of glass you've used in this lil' cutie, especially the use of those millefiori rod pieces! Nice touch:)

Almond or grey grout would be nice.

How adorable is that!  You did a great job on it!  I, too, love the millefiori pieces you used in it.

My vote would be the gray grout..because I think it would make all of the pieces stand out..followed by the Almond.

Very nice Judy!  De

You asked how to grout it and I think you should apply the grout using your finger and thumb.  I usually use latex gloves and put masking tape on those two so that it will last thru the time.  Mix the grout to the thickness of peanut butter and just push it in.  When done, carefully wipe the excess grout off the glass and after many hours or a day, wipe the dry grout off the glass again.

Then apply a sealer to keep the grout looking nice.  The sealer takes many coats, read the label about it.  Always test the sealer on the glass to see if it comes off easily.

Adorable! Has a fairytale quality. If it's going outside I think I would go for a weathered finish with the grey.

It looks like grey is the most likely winner.

Thank you, Wayne. It makes my fingers hurt to think of it, but I had not come up with a better idea, yet.

Rebecca, if you are referring to me getting you completely soaked in Central Park ....... "Help me, I'm melting"  Raspberry

Yes, I screw things up, but I don't show them, or I change their story so they are no longer a screw up , just re-purposed.  Stuff Happens

I think Judy and I have a new meaning for the expression, "It's just a walk in the park."
