Kev, this is looking awesome! your high lights on the leading edges of you eagle and trees are wonderful. I am so glad you left the back wing feathers down low, golden. Great work!

it is really wonderful Kev, and the shadow of the eagle on the water just makes it so real.  These kind of panels is what you really excell at, you are so good at the detail! Congratulations!

Kev, I've saved every photo as i just read this whole thread. What a wonderful tutorial as well.  Especially for artists who just started doing kiln work (cough, cough)  THANK YOU .   It's really quite stunning.   There are a lot of videos on glass painting at http://www.realglasspainting.com    for people who want to learn the process.

Now....keep in mind I am no "true artist". I painted this @&*$##@! head at least 8 times and though still not completely satisfied with it..it's in the oven. If nothing else it will lay down some detail to further work with. It will depend on what it looks like when it's fired. I darkened the trees up more as well.

The pics are a little dark..sorry.

It's starting to look more like a vulture then an eagle...but hey...like I said...not a true artist, but sure is fun playing with paint.
